Global IT Manager

About the Role:

As the Global IT Manager, you will be responsible for the overall performance, security, and compliance of their global IT systems. You will lead a team of IT professionals across multiple locations, fostering collaboration and driving innovation. You will work closely with business leaders to understand their technology needs and develop solutions that support their global business objectives while adhering to industry regulations and best practices.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a global IT strategy aligned with business goals and regulatory requirements (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR).

  • Oversee the management and maintenance of their global IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, cloud services, and end-user devices.

  • Lead and mentor a global team of IT professionals, providing guidance and support for their professional development.

  • Manage IT budgets and vendor relationships, ensuring cost-effectiveness and service level agreements are met.

  • Implement and enforce IT security policies and procedures to protect sensitive patient data and company systems, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.

  • Ensure business continuity and disaster recovery plans are in place and regularly tested, with a focus on data integrity and availability.

  • Collaborate with other departments to identify and implement new technologies that can improve business processes and support innovation in the medical device space.

  • Manage global IT projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with regulatory requirements.

  • Stay up-to-date on the latest IT trends and technologies, particularly those relevant to the healthcare industry.

  • Provide regular reports on IT performance and key metrics to senior management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field OR equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in IT management, with a focus on global operations, ideally within the medical device or other regulated industry, including at least 4 years of experience with a Bachelor's degree. Candidates with a relevant Associate's Degree and additional experience will also be considered.  

  • Proven experience leading and managing global IT teams.

  • Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, cloud services, and security systems, with a focus on regulated environments.

  • Experience with IT project management methodologies and compliance frameworks (e.g., ITIL, PMP, CISSP, HIPAA, GDPR).

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.

  • Ability to think strategically and develop long-term IT plans in a regulated environment.

  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

  • Experience with IT budgeting and vendor management.

  • Relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL, PMP, CISSP, CHC) preferred.
